Frank Kelly

Founder & Managing Partner, Fulcrum Macro Advisors LLC and Senior Political Strategist for DWS

  • Frank is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fulcrum Macro Advisors LLC, a political risk advisory firm based in Washington, DC.
  • Having worked as a senior executive on Wall Street for close to 30 years as well as having served in senior government roles, Frank brings extensive global experience and insight into the public policy decision-making process and its impact on global markets.
  • Frank began his career as a writer for President Ronald Reagan and went on to serve in the White House Office of Political Affairs. He remained at the White House serving as a writer for President George H.W. Bush. Frank then went to Justice Department in the Office of Policy Development focusing on national security and international issues. From there, Frank went to the US Securities and Exchange Commission serving as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman and Chief Spokesman for the Commission.
  • He then joined Merrill Lynch in New York serving as Chief of Staff and Global Head of Marketing for Investment Banking, Sales & Trading. He returned to Washington DC to establish and run Charles Schwab & Co.’s first Global Government & Regulatory Affairs operation. He also served as the firm’s first Chief Political Strategist.
  • Frank joined Deutsche Bank in 2003 as the Bank’s first Head of Government Affairs and Chief Political Strategist. In this role he advised the Bank’s top institutional clients globally on US and geopolitical issues. He also had extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, establishing the Bank’s Direct Investment Advisory Group (DIAG), advising clients on sensitive national and economic security related mergers and acquisitions.
  • Frank is a Senior Advisor to The Scowcroft Group, a global business advisory firm with an emphasis on emerging markets. He is also an adjunct professor at The Catholic University School of Business this fall where he will teaching coursework on Business Intelligence.
  • He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the American Council on Germany and American Institute for Contemporary German Studies. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation of America.
  • Frank resides outside Washington DC in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife, Maura, on their working farm, Open Door Farm.

John Cianciulli

President, Team Edge Consulting

  • Author of the book, The Team Edge, John Cianciulli has over 25 years of industry experience including roles as a financial advisor, branch manager and Director of Team Development at Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms.
  • As President of Team Edge Consulting, John provides keynote presentation and leads dynamic and impactful workshops on key element of successful financial advisory teams and practices. He has personally coached many of the industry’s top-producing advisors and teams, including advisors in Barron’s Top 100.
  • John has spoken at many industry conferences, including Barron’s Top Advisors Summit and Barron’s Top Advisory Team Summit.

Bret Mahoney

Chief Operating Officer, Whitney Strategic Services

  • Bret Mahoney serves as Chief Operating Officer of Whitney Strategic Services and is responsible for development of strategic and technical analysis for client programs.
  • Prior to joining WSS, he worked in the corporate and investment banking division at Deutsche Bank AG with the industrials coverage team. He completed multiple M&A transactions over $1 billion in enterprise value as both sell-side and buy-side advisory.
  • Before moving to the private sector, Bret served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. In his role as an intelligence officer, LT. Mahoney served aboard multiple naval platforms as a staff officer with Commander Amphibious Squadron 4 (COMPHIBRON 4) and as a lead analyst for the Office of Naval Intelligence Special Programs division. He and his teams received multiple individual and unit recognitions including a Meritorious Unit Citation from the Director of National Intelligence.
  • Bret earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and Strategic Management. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans.

Brad Long

Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Fiducient Advisors

  • Brad joined Fiducient Advisors in 2012. As Fiducient Advisors’ Chief Investment Officer, Brad leads the firm’s investment strategy and research efforts. He is chair of the firm’s Investment Committee and a member of the firm’s Discretionary Committee, Research Forum, Capital Markets Team and Mission-Aligned Investing Committee.
  • Prior to joining the firm, Brad worked in various research capacities at Citigroup and Wells Fargo in New York.
  • He received a BA in Finance and a Minor in Economics from The University of Colorado and is a CFA® charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Chicago and CFA Institute.
  • Additionally, he is active with underresourced college students. In his free time, Brad loves cooking and spending time with his wife and young sons.

Bill Duffy

Vice President, Alternative Investments, Fidelity Institutional

  • Bill Duffy is a Vice President of Alternative Investments for Fidelity Investments. He is responsible for Fidelity’s alternative investment platform solutions which enable Fidelity clients access to alternative investment strategies. Bill focuses on developing Fidelity’s alternative investment platform strategy, as well as overseeing Fidelity’s relationship with leading alternative investment platforms and asset managers. Additionally, Bill educates Fidelity clients and prospects about alternative investment programs available through Fidelity. He is often a featured speaker on alternative investment strategies and trends at industry conferences and events.
  • Prior to Fidelity, Bill worked works at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. where he was Managing Director of Relationship Management, overseeing relationships with over 700 third-party asset managers. He also led marketing and strategy for Schwab’s alternative investment platform team. In that role, he also collaborated with industry thought leaders to deliver alternative investment education to thousands of RIAs.
  • Earlier in his career, Bill was an Executive Director at a boutique alternative investment advisory firm, where he was responsible for consulting with RIAs, family offices, and institutional investors on alternative investment strategies including private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge fund opportunities.
  • Bill is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (“IPA”), an industry trade group focused on expanding access to alternative investments strategies and advocating on behalf of the alternative investment industry. Prior to being elected Chair of the Board, he was an active Board member since 2020.
