DWS has announced the appointment of Sharon Tan as Country Officer of DWS Singapore and CEO of DWS Investments Singapore Limited. Sharon will continue in her existing roles as APAC Client Coverage Chief Operating Officer and APAC Head of Business Development.
In her expanded role as Country Officer, Sharon will be responsible for further advancing Singapore’s strategic position as a regional hub for Alternatives Investments, Southeast Asia and APAC Wealth sales distribution, and as a centre of excellence for several infrastructure business leads.
Sharon brings over 25 years of asset management industry experience, including 11 years at DWS in various roles. She joined the firm in 2014 as APAC Head of Private Banks & Intermediaries, where she led sales and business development efforts. In 2017, she assumed additional responsibilities as APAC Head of Client Servicing & Implementation before being appointed APAC Client Coverage COO in 2020. Most recently, in 2023, Sharon was named APAC Head of Business Development, driving strategic growth initiatives and overseeing marketing and communications across the region.
Prior to joining DWS, Sharon spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Institutional Client Servicing and Private Bank Sales for Asia ex-Japan. She began her career at Ernst & Young in Transaction Advisory.
