Deutsche Bank has recently become aware of a fraudulent investment scheme which purports to offer an opportunity to invest in Sovereign Green Bonds issued by Deutsche Bank. Targets of this fraudulent scheme have been contacted by scammers via unsolicited telephone calls, falsely representing themselves as representatives of Deutsche Bank or Deutsche Asset Management. Some targets have been directed to a website which requires the target to enter their contact details. After providing their email addresses, targets of the scheme have been sent documents via email promoting the fake investment which appear to use Deutsche Bank branding and imagery, and which are purportedly signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank in Australia. The emails have been sent using fake domain names such as @dbclientadvisers.com and @deutscheassetmanagementau.com instead of the legitimate Deutsche Bank domain @db.com.

Scammers are also targeting individuals with offers to assist them to invest in government bonds and bonds said to be issued by Deutsche Bank. The scammers have contacted the targets via unsolicited phone calls and attempted to impersonate Bank staff. The scammers have also sent emails to the targets using fake domain names such as @fixedincome-db.com.au.

Please be aware that neither Deutsche Bank nor Deutsche Australia Limited market financial services or products directly to the public and the communications and purported investment opportunities are not legitimate.

If you receive a communication purporting to be from Deutsche Bank or to relate to an investment opportunity provided by Deutsche Bank, you can validate the communication by contacting us directly using our official contact details, which are published here.
