CDP Score 2021

In 2021, DWS participated for the second time in the company rating of CDP (former Carbon Disclosure Project). As recently disclosed on the CDP website, DWS achieved a 'B' rating. In 2020, DWS achieved a C rating as first-time responder. With the new 'B' rating DWS is now amongst 48 percent of companies that reached the so called 'Management' level. Companies have been assessed across four consecutive levels which represent the steps a company moves through as it progresses towards environmental stewardship. The levels are: Disclosure (D/D-), Awareness (C/C-), Management level (B/B-) and Leadership (A/A-).

In comparison to 2020, DWS improved its rating in nine categories out of eleven. We scored particularly high in the categories 'Risk Management processes', 'Governance' and 'Scope 3 emissions' in comparison to our peers. We also improved our rating significantly in the categories ‘Opportunity disclosure', 'Risk disclosure' and 'Scope 1 & 2 processes'. The CDP rating is part of our set of Sustainability KPI’s.

Claire Peel, CFO, commented: “We are proud to have exceeded our targeted rating for 2021. Overall, we were able to improve in many categories compared to the previous year and this is a good platform to continue to develop our ratings scores. We will closely look into all areas of improvement and will work on these consistently.”
