DWS launches white label robo WISE partnership in Japan

DWS today announced that Japanese FinTech specialist Mirai Chokin will integrate DWS’s white label robo platform WISE into its Mirai Navi app for defined contribution pension plan customers.

This development will allow Japanese pension plan owners to use DWS’s WISE platform to significantly improve, simplify and customise their pension plans.

Used by nearly 500 companies, Mirai Navi is an app-based information delivery service designed to support both companies with Japanese defined contribution pension plans and their employees.

DWS’s WISE platform is a proprietary web-based investment advisory tool which is now being used in Japan for the first time.

The WISE digital platform will suggest an optimised portfolio based on the clients’ need to apply investment recommendations to future contributions or also to existing savings, and their preferred level of risk: conservative, growth-oriented or aggressive. Employee data is pre-filled on the Mirai app, creating a simple and user-friendly interface.

At the heart of each proposed portfolio are the digital asset management capabilities derived from the DWS CIO VIEW, which is based on an asset allocation model according to the risk level of each user. Based on this model, DWS selects the most suitable passive investment funds or active funds from the investable products for each employee's plan. No DWS products are offered under this arrangement.

Thorsten Klingenmeier, Responsible for Sales of Digital Solutions at DWS said: “This cooperation will allow defined contribution pension participants to receive professional investment advice from DWS’s investment experts in active, passive and alternative investments, as well as the digital capabilities of WISE on the Mirai Navi app. We are pleased to be working with Mirai Chokin on this important initiative.”

Yasuo Itayama, CEO at Mirai Chokin added: “This partnership provides our users with access to a unique platform that benefits from both human expertise and an efficient, easy-to-use digital process.”
