Inflation fears and growth concerns

The current turbulence on the markets is explained by inflation fears and growth concerns. But how well-founded are these fears and concerns?

In this century, the UN estimates that the world’s population will increase a further 4.8 billion to reach 10.9 billion with 75% of this increase occurring in the first half of the century. [1]

If in 30 years, with around 11 billion people, we still wanted to use the earth the same way, we would need three times as many resources as we do today - that is, three times as much oil, gas, coal, ore, industrial metals, rare earths, crops and livestock [2]

In 2019 the tropics lost close to 30 soccer fields worth of trees every single minute, mostly to agriculture. By using it responsibly, the resource of forestry could continue to treat our water, produce oxygen, reduce CO2 and provide millions of jobs in the future. [3]
