VOLKSWOHL BUND Lebensversicherung a.G., one of the leading insurance companies in Germany, is set to utilize DWS’ digital investment platform WISE in its life insurance product distribution. Under the brand “FondsFittery”, distribution partners of VOLKSWOHL BUND can now offer fund-backed life insurance policies that draw on the product excellence and expertise of DWS.

In July 2017 DWS launched its WISE digital investment platform to provide its distribution partners with a tailored solution for automated, digital asset management. FondsFittery is now the first time that a cooperation partner has integrated the capabilities of WISE into a pension annuity product. In terms of allocation, WISE uses the investment expertise and strategic house view of DWS and its chief investment officer, Stefan Kreuzkamp.

“We are delighted to partner with VOLKSWOHL BUND to offer an insurance product via our digital robo platform for the first time”, explains Christian Haake, Senior Relationship Manager for Insurances at DWS. “This cooperation will truly demonstrate the flexibility and performance capabilities of our digital distribution solution. It means that customers of VOLKSWOHL BUND will benefit from DWS’ capital market expertise via modern technology“.

“FondsFittery allows our distribution partners to offer their customers a new and innovative fund-backed life insurance policies based on high-quality and convenient fund management”, said Dietmar Bläsing, speaker of the boards at VOLKSWOHL BUND Versicherungen. “FondsFittery gives our insurance customers access to professional portfolio management. With DWS as a partner we have a competent and experienced asset manager at our side and our customers will benefit from their know-how”.

VOLKSWOHL BUNDS’ distribution partners can use the WISE white label software as part of the insurer’s customer advisory. Based on the investor’s personal situation and concrete investment objectives, the system suggests one of 19 model portfolios, split into 7 risk classes. FondsFittery uses ETFs exclusively: from Xtrackers and other providers. There is the option for lump sum investments or monthly savings plans starting at only 10 euro.
