DWS Group (DWS) today announced a change to its management team. Vincenzo (Enzo) Vedda will join the Executive Board of DWS as Chief Investment Officer, effective 1 August 2025, where he will be responsible for DWS' liquid business. Vedda had already taken on the role of the Group's head investment strategist in November 2024 and initially focused on bringing together the areas of portfolio management, the Chief Investment Office, and economic research in this role.
“With Enzo Vedda, we are pleased to have a Chief Investment Officer joining the Executive Board again,” said Stefan Hoops, CEO and Chairman of the DWS management board. “Enzo is an experienced capital markets expert. With his clear performance orientation and precise knowledge of clients’ needs, he is the right person to strategically position DWS' capital markets expertise for the future and to deliver the added value our clients expect from DWS.”
Vedda has been with DWS since 2013, initially as co-head of Global Equities Trading, prior to taking over the global trading business in 2017. After taking responsibility for the European client business (excluding Germany and Austria) and the global wholesale business of DWS from 2020 onwards, he initially became head of active portfolio management at the end of 2022 and also took over responsibility for passive portfolio management in 2023. Since November 2024, he has been Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to his career at DWS, Vedda worked for several years at Morgan Stanley in London and Frankfurt, as well as at DZ Bank in Frankfurt, where he held various sales trading roles in equities and fixed income.
